Font Matching and Sourcing

Occasionally, current and prospective clients will send a mid to low quality raster sample or vector file needing lettering changes for quote or art submission with specifically desired fonts that have been applied/designed elsewhere. While the font catalog on hand at Screen Prints NFK is extensive (roughly 25 years of fonts collected primarily for graphic/logo design), new fonts are created and made available everyday. Routinely, font matches will be attempted by default with what’s already in stock and a quick 5 minute search online for something that isn’t readily available. If it’s matched, the design process keeps on flowing within the allocated time to go to final. If not, there are several font resolution process measures available to ensure client satisfaction.

Solutions for Font Matches not readily available:

• If the client submitted design font(s) can easily be matched closely with little or no variances, the client will be contacted immediately to approve any alternatives.

• If the client submitted design font(s) can not easily be matched closely with little or no variances, the client will be contacted immediately to review and approve freely available alternatives that have details closely resembling the original.

• If the client submitted design font(s) can not easily be matched closely with little or no variances, the client does not approve of freely available alternatives that have details closely resembling the original, and has a solid requirement for the exact font provided to materialize their originally intended vision, the client will be billed and invoiced a font matching service fee. This fee is solely for Screen Prints NFK to secure the desired font and is not a material or digital rights purchase to be relinquished to the client at any time other than what is physically printed on the garments and accessories as desired.

• If the client does not respond to communications for font match alternate or exact match sourcing approval within the initial included three round rough draft shaping and approval phase, the first submitted draft will include the closest freely available alternate for approval or second draft revision request.

• Contract clients are required to have print-ready art to qualify for their unique volume pricing levels. For clients in this segment occasionally without print-ready art that needs specific fonts in a layout, exact font matching is included by default as a courtesy for 1000pc/mo AOV.
